I’ve become curious about what kinds of data Facebook Application developers can gather from people who use the apps, so I signed up for a Facebook Developer API key, and think I’m going to write a little quiz. Not sure if I’ll host it here or at totalnetsolutions.net yet… if it becomes something worthwhile, I’ll probably post it there. We’ll see. Stay tuned.

Thursday, April 30th, 2009We went to vacation in the Riviera Maya, just south of Cancun. We stayed at the Hotel Excellence Riviera Maya, just outside of Puerto Morelos. I dove 2 days, one just outside of Puerto Morelos, and one from Cancun. Both days included dives to a sunk minesweeper, and a wreck dive. Pictures are up at http://www.flickr.com/photos/chi-diver

Why “docsmooth”?
Sunday, February 22nd, 2009I get asked this a bunch – why “docsmooth”? There are actually a lot of answers I could give here, but it really just boils down to 3 simple things:
- I’ve been using this handle since I was browsing local BBSs before Compuserve when I was 13.
- I’m too lazy to come up with something more original.
- I have owned the domain for almost 10 years and don’t want to give it up.
That’s it really. There’s nothing sinister, nothing creepy, just a long-standing handle that isn’t very memorable, since *everyone* wants to use it. And that’s kinda nice for me.
